Hectorite Gel™ (Pentaerythrityl Tetraisostearate Base) Oil gelling agent. Suitable for use in makeup formulations. or any kind of cosmetics with a mixture of silicone as the main Developed specifically to hold (suspend) pigment pigments in formulas to distribute pigments evenly in silicone-based make-up types.
Hectorite Gel™ (Pentaerythrityl Tetraisostearate Base) provides a thixotropic viscosity, meaning that when shear is applied, the viscosity of the substance is reduced. But when the force is stopped, the viscosity returns to its original state. which is considered to be a flow characteristic that is suitable for all kinds of cosmetics, especially make-up a type that is a silicone base
Hectorite is a smectite clay mineral obtained from the hectorite mine in California, USA, which is the largest and the purest clay. and with high purity Makes it whiter and smoother. Compared to other types of clays that can act as a thickener for silicones, such as Bentonite.
Use: as a thickener to create a gel texture to oil
How to mix: Mix in the silicone and whisk well. will turn the silicone into a gel texture
Utilization rate: 2.5-10% depending on the desired viscosity
Product characteristics: beige-light brown gel
Solubility: can disperse in oil
Storage: can be stored at room temperature But close the bottle cap tightly. Then completely covered from sunlight or heat, the product is at least 2 years old.
