PatchMate™ NP-700 (Sodium Polyacrylate) designed for transdermal patch formulation. Can also be used as thickener in some formulation such as ointment
NP-700: pH is 6.2-6.8, viscosity 500-650mpa.s., AA:AS = 50:50, Highly adhesive due to low content of Sodium Acrylate
Suitable for drug stabilization (such as salicylic acid ointment), Enhances transdermal absorption due to its adhesive property.
To be cross-linked with: Aluminium glycinate , Aluminum hydroxide
Example Formulation:
PatchMate (NP-600/NP-700/NP-800) 5%
Aluminum Hydroxide 0.5%
Disodium EDTA 0.1%
Tartaric Acid 1%
Glycerin 30%
Water 63.4%
Usage: For adding viscosity (thickener) to patch or formulation that require high viscosity
Mixing method: Mix in water (water-phase)
Usage rate: 0.1-5% (according to desired viscosity)
Product characteristics: White powder
Solubility: Can dissolve in water Please see the mixing method above.
Storage: Can be stored at room temperature. But close the bottle cap tightly. Then completely protected from sunlight or heat. Do not expose to moisture. (Please store in the envelope that comes with a moisture-proof envelope.) The product has a minimum shelf life of 2 years.
