Oil Stick™ Medium (ให้น้ำมันเนื้อแข็ง / ใส)

Oil Stick™ Medium (solid / clear oil) A stick builder (solid) for oils and silicones. Suitable for use in lipsticks. (used at a high rate of 3-4%), lip gloss (used at a low rate of not more than 1%), deodorant stick(used at a high rate of 3-4%) with a clear texture when used in conjunction with Oil Stick™ Hard

Example of clear lip formula (use Oil Stick™ Hard with Oil Stick™ Medium for clarity)

Octyldodecanol 20% (increase the pay-off of the lip texture to stick on the whistling)

LipidSoft™ Disperse  17%   (Helps dissolve/disperse pigments to stick on the whistling) 

any oil soluble paint ___% (used at the rate according to the desired tone)

Squalene The rest is 100% (give the gloss of the lip texture)

Example of deodorant stick formula (silicone base gives lightness and whiteness, but does not leave white stains on the armpits)

Anti-Sweat™  20% (help suppress sweat, reduce odor)

Silk Talc Powder 6% (helps absorb oil reduce the gooey let the formula dry quickly)

AminoSilk™  1% (provides smoothness in the armpits)

Example of a lip gloss formula (use a low level of Oil Stick™ Hard to give the oil a gel-like texture)

How to use Oil Stick™ Hard, Oil Stick™ Medium 

Oil Stick™ is oil soluble. without stirring or spinning but requires high heat to melt by different types of oil will melt at different temperatures

Cyclomethicone , Isododecane , Isohexadecane or LipidSoft, non-polar group, melting at 105-120 degrees

Dimethicone , LipidSoft polar type (eg. LipidSoft™ Disperse ), Octyldodecanol  Melts at 85-95 degrees

Adjusting the oil content to be clear

ratio between Oil Stick™ Hard and Oil Stick™ Medium Affects the clarity of the oil This ratio depends on each type of oil.

For Mineral Oil - Oil Stick™ Medium 75% : Oil Stick™ Hard  25% up to Oil Stick™ Medium  60% :  Oil Stick™ Hard  40%  will be the most transparent

for other oils Let's try to start with the same ratio. Oil Stick™ Medium  50% :  Oil Stick™ Hard  50%  If it is not clear Increase or decrease the trial ratio. until it was found to be clearer 

Differences between different types of Oil Gelling Agent / Oil Gellant

- Sugar Gel Give oil gel texture Soft and clear texture with 10% water content in the formula. Suitable for gel formulations. that can contain a small amount of water in the formula Cannot be used with Silicone 

- Oil Thick™ Soft  give the oil gel texture Soft and translucent texture (not 100% clear) suitable for cream formulas. Can be used with Silicone 

- Oil Thick™ Hard  give the oil gel texture Semi-solid and translucent (not 100% clear) Suitable for balm, pressed powder formulations with a semi-solid texture, can be used with silicone.

- Oil Stick™ Medium  Give the oil gel texture Hard (1-2%) to very hard (4%)  Can give a clear texture Suitable for stick formulas such as lip stick , deodorant stick (should be used with Oil Stick™ Hard for clear texture)  Can be used with silicone (but will not give a clear texture) 

- Oil Stick™ Hard     give the oil gel texture Hard (1-2%) to very hard (4%)   Can give a clear texture Suitable for stick formulas such as lip stick , deodorant stick (should be used with Oil Stick™ Hard for clear texture)   Can be used with silicone (but will not give a clear texture)  

- Oil Thick™ Clear S ,  Oil Thick™ Clear N , Oil Thick™ Clear P  Gives a clear oily gel texture in virtually all types of oil and LipidSoft™ Easy to use Cannot be used with Silicone

- Oil-Fix™ O  Gives a clear oil texture   For all polar oils and all glycol

- Oil-Fix™ S make the oil clear for silicone and all kinds of non-polar oil

-   Oil-Fix™ W make the oil clear For all types of oil both with polarity and no polarity

Use: As a thickener (gelling) for any formulation of oil.

Mixing method:   mixed in oil or hydrocarbons ( isododecane , isohexadecane ) or LipidSoft™ Any type, using a heat level of 85-120 degrees, depending on the type of oil. (Please see more information above) 

Usage rate: 0.1-4% depending on the degree of hardness of the oil content required

Product characteristics: White-light yellow powder

Solubility: Can be dissolved in oil or silicone

Storage: can be stored at room temperature But close the lid of the bottle tightly. and sealed from sunlight or heat, the product has a shelf life of at least 10 years (from the date of manufacture).
