Product Description:
Used as a precursor in the production of molybdenum-based catalysts for petroleum refining, especially in hydrodesulfurization processes to remove sulfur from crude oil. Plays a role in the synthesis of molybdenum oxide pigments for ceramics and glass, providing yellow to orange colors. Employed in electroplating baths to deposit molybdenum coatings for wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant surfaces. Applied in analytical chemistry as a reagent for the detection and determination of phosphates and silicates in water and soil samples. Also utilized in the manufacture of flame retardants and smoke suppressants in polymers and plastics.
