description Product Description
Used as a Lewis acid catalyst in various organic syntheses, including Friedel-Crafts reactions for producing aromatic compounds. Also serves as a catalyst in the production of synthetic fibers, plastics, and particularly in silicone polymer synthesis. Employed in the manufacture of smoke screens and fog machines due to its reaction with air moisture to form dense white fumes. Applied in surface treatment of glass, ceramics, and metals to improve adhesion, corrosion resistance, scratch resistance, and optical properties such as light reflection. Utilized in the electronics industry for depositing thin films of tin oxide through chemical vapor deposition and for conductive thin films. Serves as a precursor in the synthesis of organotin compounds used as biocides and stabilizers in PVC, as well as other tin compounds for special materials in textiles and weather-resistant coatings.
