Product Description:
Rituximab is widely used in the treatment of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma and chronic lymphocytic leukemia, where it targets CD20 proteins on the surface of B-cells, leading to their destruction. It is also employed in managing rheumatoid arthritis, particularly in patients who have not responded adequately to other treatments, by reducing the number of B-cells that contribute to inflammation. Additionally, Rituximab is utilized in treating certain autoimmune disorders, such as granulomatosis with polyangiitis and microscopic polyangiitis, where it helps to modulate the immune response. In the context of organ transplantation, it is sometimes used to prevent or treat post-transplant lymphoproliferative disorders. Its application in multiple sclerosis has also been explored, aiming to reduce the frequency of relapses by targeting B-cells involved in the disease process.
