description Product Description
Used as an anticoagulant to prevent and treat deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism. Commonly prescribed in hospitalized patients, especially those undergoing surgery or with limited mobility. Also used in managing acute coronary syndromes like unstable angina and non-ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (NSTEMI). Administered subcutaneously, it offers predictable dosing with less frequent monitoring compared to unfractionated heparin. Preferred in patients with renal impairment due to its longer half-life and more consistent response.
