Used primarily as a veterinary anthelmintic, effective against liver flukes such as Fasciola hepatica and certain gastrointestinal parasites in ruminants including sheep and cattle. Commonly administered to control fascioliasis infections in livestock. Often formulated in combination with other anthelmintics, such as closantel or levamisole, to broaden the spectrum of activity against nematodes and trematodes. Available in oral drench or injectable forms, providing both treatment and prevention of parasitic infestations.
