Oak Scrub (60-80 Mesh) is a natural plant-derived physical exfoliant made from oak/wood powder and controlled to 60-80 mesh particle size.

The ingredient is designed for rinse-off scrubs, cleansing powders, body polish products, masks and surfactant-based cleansers where formulators need biodegradable scrub particles with a dry powder format.

60-80 mesh gives a medium-fine skin feel compared with larger or smaller scrub grades. Select the grade by target sensorial intensity, product viscosity and the area of use.

Product Description: This is an insoluble, dispersible cosmetic scrub powder. Performance is physical: particles provide mechanical exfoliation during massage and are then rinsed away. It should be evaluated in the final base for particle suspension, rinse feel, abrasion level and stability during filling/storage.

Suitable claims should stay within physical exfoliation and cleansing support: helps remove dull surface buildup, supports smoother skin feel after rinsing, adds natural scrub texture and provides a biodegradable alternative to plastic scrub beads. Avoid biological treatment claims such as collagen stimulation, acne treatment, whitening or anti-aging unless the finished formula contains separate actives that support those claims.

Usage: Suitable for facial/body scrub, shower scrub, cleansing powder, rinse-off gel cleanser, cream cleanser, clay mask, body polish and exfoliating soap concepts.

Mixing method:

- Pre-blend into powders or slowly disperse into the final base under moderate mixing.

- For emulsions, gels and surfactant cleansers, add after the base is uniform and mix only until particles are evenly distributed.

- Avoid excessive high-shear processing after addition because it can reduce particle size and change scrub intensity.

- Confirm suspension in the finished viscosity; low-viscosity products may need a suspending agent.

Usage rate: 0.1-15%

Solubility: Insoluble in water and oil; dispersible in water, cream/gel bases, surfactant systems and powder blends.
