Properties It is easy to soluble in hot water, glycerin, and slightly soluble in ethanol and carbon tetrachloride. The aqueous solution is alkaline. The crystallization water is completely lost when heated to 120°C. It is stable in dry air, but slowly absorbs moisture in the air under humid conditions and turns into borax decahydrate. It has sterilization, disinfection, melting and high-temperature adhesion properties.
