description Product Description

Pseudo boehmite is widely used as a catalyst support and precursor in refining and petrochemical processes due to its high surface area and thermal stability. It is especially effective in hydrocracking and hydrotreating applications where it helps disperse active metal components like nickel, molybdenum, or cobalt. Its ability to form stable dispersions and gels makes it valuable in the formulation of structured catalysts and adsorbents.

In addition to catalysis, pseudo boehmite serves as a binder in catalyst pellets and washcoats for automotive exhaust systems, enhancing mechanical strength and adhesion to substrates. It is also used in the production of advanced ceramics and refractory materials because of its transformation into stable alumina phases upon heating.

Its controlled porosity and reactivity allow use in specialty applications such as gas purification, battery separators, and as a filler or rheology modifier in coatings and composites. The material’s low abrasiveness and compatibility with polymers make it suitable for electronics and functional films.
