description Product Description

Used primarily as a muscle relaxant and antispasmodic agent, especially in the treatment of muscle spasticity resulting from conditions like multiple sclerosis, spinal cord injuries, and cerebral palsy. It acts as a GABA-B receptor agonist, reducing the excitability of neurons in the central nervous system, which helps decrease muscle stiffness, spasms, and associated pain. Also used off-label for chronic hiccups, trigeminal neuralgia, and certain types of neuropathic pain. In some cases, it is administered intrathecally via a pump for severe spasticity unresponsive to oral medications.
