Product Description:
Used primarily to treat and prevent bleeding disorders caused by vitamin K deficiency, especially in newborns who are at risk of hemorrhagic disease. It supports the production of clotting factors in the liver, which are essential for normal blood coagulation. Commonly administered as a prophylactic injection to infants shortly after birth. Also used in patients with malabsorption conditions, those on long-term antibiotic therapy, or individuals with liver damage affecting clotting factor synthesis. Plays a role in reversing the effects of oral anticoagulants like warfarin when excessive bleeding occurs. Additionally, contributes to bone health by aiding in the carboxylation of osteocalcin, a protein involved in bone mineralization.
