Product Description:
Used in toothpaste and mouth rinses to prevent dental cavities by strengthening tooth enamel and reducing the ability of bacteria to produce acid. Added to public water supplies in many regions to promote oral health and reduce tooth decay, especially in children. Employed in cleaning products for removing rust and scale from metal surfaces. Utilized in the production of fluorocarbons and other fluorinated compounds. Applied in wood preservatives to protect against decay and insect damage. Used in laboratories as a protease inhibitor during cell lysis and sample preparation. Also found in some anesthetics and in the refining of aluminum.
