Product Description:
Thiourea is widely used in the synthesis of pharmaceuticals, particularly as an intermediate in the production of antithyroid drugs and certain antibiotics. It plays a key role in the manufacture of resins and polymers, especially in improving the curing process of chloroprene and other synthetic rubbers. In the textile industry, thiourea derivatives are applied in flame-retardant finishes and as dyeing assistants. It is also employed in electroplating processes, where it helps in the deposition of smooth, uniform metal coatings, especially in silver and gold plating. In photography, thiourea is used in toning and fixing solutions to enhance image stability. Additionally, it serves as a reducing agent and stabilizer in various chemical reactions and industrial formulations.
