Used primarily to treat symptoms of osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. Helps reduce pain, inflammation, and joint stiffness. Belongs to the class of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), but has a lower risk of causing gastrointestinal irritation compared to other NSAIDs. Often prescribed for long-term management of chronic arthritic conditions due to its favorable safety profile. Not typically used for acute pain or gout.
