Used as a chiral cobalt catalyst in asymmetric synthesis, particularly in enantioselective epoxidation and C–H activation reactions. Its salen-like ligand framework provides high stereocontrol, making it valuable in the preparation of optically active compounds for pharmaceuticals and fine chemicals. The complex is effective under mild conditions and shows good turnover and selectivity in catalytic cycles.
