Please study the instructions for use carefully before use.
1. Potassium thioglycolate There is a natural smell of the substance. finished product formula Sufficient perfume is required. to mask the smell
2. Pot assium thioglycolate is easy to oxidation, please avoid heat over 40 degrees (recommended 30 degrees) and air.
3. Finished product packing after mixing It should be in a packaging that can protect the formula. do not expose to air such as vacuum tubes
4. The water used to mix the formula with Pot assium thioglycolate Must be of the highest purity, because if there is a metal charge Calcium thioglycolate will change color by born purple Maiden
5. Pot assium thioglycolate can irritate the skin Do not use above the specified level. Maiden
6. The material of the packaging that is suitable for the successful packaging of the formula should be glass, ceramic, if it is plastic. Only use Polyethylene (PE) plastic.
The formula should be used ActiveProtec™ OX at 0.6% to help prevent formula discoloration.
Dilute Potassium thioglycolate solution 42% in water and add the alkalizing agent (potassium hydroxide and/or calcium hydroxide).
step by step, while keeping the temperature below 30 °C. Add this phase to the formulation below 30 °C and adjust pH to 12.4 with
potassium hydroxide. Homogenize with a triple roll mill.
Choice of alkalizing agent: calcium hydroxide is preferable to sodium hydroxide and potassium hydroxide because it is less irritating due
to its lower solubility and resulting buffer capacity. A saturated Ca(OH)2 slution is present at pH 12.4.
All used raw materials (emulsifiers, emollients, fragrances etc.) should be stable under alkaline conditions at pH 12 – 12.5.
Use: for hair removal products, hair
Mixing method: Mix in water. Please consult the details of use above.
Usage rate: 10-15%, the formula must have a pH in the range of 12-12.5, the FDA is allowed to use a maximum of 16.8% (or equal to 5% Thioglycolic acid).
Product characteristics: liquid
Solubility: soluble in water, ethanol
