ClayThick Light (Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, Light Color) is cosmetic‑grade Magnesium Aluminum Silicate (smectite clay) in a lighter powder color grade. It builds viscosity, suspends pigments and particles, and stabilizes emulsions in water‑based systems.
Compared with the regular grade, the Light Color version maintains the same rheology performance while offering a cleaner, brighter base tone. It helps form smooth, shear‑thinning gels and improves stability against separation.
Suitable for creams/lotions, gels, masks and scrubs. Works well with humectants (e.g., glycerin) and most common emulsifiers.
Usage: Thickener/suspending agent for creams, lotions, gels, masks and scrubs.
How to mix:
- Pre-disperse into water with moderate to high shear until fully hydrated.
- Optionally pre-wet with glycerin before adding to water to reduce clumps.
- May heat to 70–80°C to accelerate hydration when needed.
Usage rate: 0.5–5%
Product Description: Free‑flowing white to light‑yellow powder; color is lighter than the regular ClayThick grade.
Solubility: Not soluble; dispersible in water. Not oil‑soluble.
Storage: Keep container tightly closed in a cool, dry place. Protect from moisture.
