description Product Description

Used as a fluorescent probe for DNA intercalation in biological imaging due to its strong two-photon absorption, high photostability, and ability to readily cross cell membranes. It stains nuclear structures such as chromatin and nuclei in live cells, making it useful for fluorescence microscopy and live-cell analysis. Also employed in the development of organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) and nonlinear optical materials owing to its excellent luminescent properties. Its styryl conjugated system allows for tunable emission, beneficial in sensor design for detecting environmental changes like pH or polarity. Additionally, studied as a potential precursor in anticancer drug development due to DNA binding and interference with cancer cell division.
