Product Description:
Used primarily as a secondary antioxidant in plastics, polymers, and rubber to prevent thermal and oxidative degradation during processing and long-term use. It stabilizes materials against discoloration, embrittlement, and loss of mechanical strength caused by heat and oxygen exposure. Commonly added to polyolefins such as polyethylene and polypropylene for applications in packaging, automotive parts, and household goods. Also employed in adhesives, lubricants, and some industrial waxes to extend service life by inhibiting oxidation. Effective in high-temperature processing and often used in combination with primary phenolic antioxidants for synergistic stabilization.
