Product Description:
Used as a key intermediate in the synthesis of pharmaceuticals, dyes, and agrochemicals. It plays an important role in the production of pyrazolones, which are used in pain relievers and anti-inflammatory drugs. Also employed in the manufacture of vitamin B1 and vitamin B6. In organic synthesis, it is widely used in the acetoacetic ester synthesis for preparing ketones and acids. Commonly used in the preparation of heterocyclic compounds such as pyrimidines and pyrroles. In the paint and coating industry, it acts as a stabilizer and modifier in alkyd resins. Also finds use in perfumery and flavoring due to its fruity odor.
