Product Description:
Used primarily in the production of foundry resins for metal casting, where it acts as a binder in sand molds and cores due to its excellent thermal stability and curing properties. It is also a key raw material in the synthesis of furan resins, which are employed in corrosion-resistant fiberglass-reinforced composites for tanks, pipes, and chemical processing equipment. In organic synthesis, it serves as a solvent and intermediate in the production of pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, and flavoring agents. Additionally, furfuryl alcohol is used in the manufacture of wood preservatives and as a component in adhesives and coatings for high-temperature applications.
