Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose (HPMC) forms a non-ionic gel without the effect of electrolyte, suitable for formulations containing electrolyte.
HPMC has a unique feature in helping to create bubbles. In skin cleaning formulas such as shampoo or liquid soap, it is commonly used to create gel texture in shampoo or liquid soap.
Specifications
-Provides a viscosity of 50 mPa s (cPs) at 2% in water.
- good compatibility with various organic solvents (other than water)
- Can be used in formulations that are acidic as low as pH 3 and alkaline up to pH 11.
- no smell
How to use:
hot water diffusion method and then dissolved in cold water
1. Disperse HPMC powder in hot water at 80-90 degrees. When completely dispersed, it will get a turbid liquid.
2. Bring the turbid liquid and add it to cold water. continuous spinning will get a clear gel texture
(division of water mixed in the first part and the rest of the water stored in the refrigerator to take the first part added to part 2)
Distribution method in any Glycerin/Propylene Glycol/Oil
1. Disperse HPMC powder in any Glycerin/Propylene Glycol/Oil until completely dispersed.
2. Blend the liquid in cold water no more than 20C until a clear gel texture is obtained.
Use: for all kinds of products who want to increase viscosity Add gel (thickening)
How to mix: Please see the dissolution instructions above.
Utilization rate: 0.5-3% (depending on the required viscosity)
Product characteristics: white powder
Solubility: Can be dissolved in warm water (70 degrees).
Storage: For long-term storage Store at room temperaturedo not expose to sunlight And avoid humidity, shelf life 3 years from the date of production.
