ReadyMix™ FD&C Red No.3 Al Lake (Polyglyceryl-2 Triisostearate Based) is a ready-to-use cosmetic color paste designed for oil-based and anhydrous color cosmetic systems.

The paste format helps formulators disperse lake or iron oxide colorants more evenly than dry powders, reducing specking and shortening the grinding/dispersing step in lip, cheek, eye and complexion color work.

This version uses a Polyglyceryl-2 Triisostearate based carrier for good wetting of cosmetic pigments in oil-rich formulas. Check local colorant permissions for the target product area and market before launch.

Product Description: Oil-dispersible red-pink paste supplied as a pre-wetted paste for color adjustment, shade matching and batch-to-batch color standardization in decorative cosmetics.

Usage: Lip color, balm, lipstick, gloss, cheek tint, cream blush, eyeshadow, concealer, foundation and other oil-based or anhydrous color cosmetics where the selected colorant is permitted.

Mixing method:

- Add into the oil phase or finished anhydrous base and mix until the color is fully uniform.

- For high-color systems, pre-blend with part of the oil/emollient phase before combining with waxes, gels or powders.

- Avoid adding directly into water-only systems; use a suitable emulsified, oil-rich or anhydrous base.

Usage rate: 0.1-10% depending on shade strength, opacity and local colorant limits.

Product characteristics: red-pink paste; viscous oil-dispersible paste.

Solubility: Dispersible in oils, esters, wax/oil blends and anhydrous cosmetic bases; not water-soluble.
