Pep-Oil™ GHK-Cu (Copper Tripeptide-1, Oil-Soluble) is an oil-compatible blue copper peptide liquid concentrate for advanced cosmetic formulations where Copper Tripeptide-1 is needed in an oil phase, balm, anhydrous system, oil-serum, or emulsion oil phase.

Copper Tripeptide-1, also known as GHK-Cu, is a complex of copper with the GHK tripeptide sequence. In cosmetic use it is designed for visible anti-aging, skin texture, post-acne mark appearance, barrier-comfort, and scalp/hair-root support concepts. The blue to blue-green color is characteristic of copper peptide systems.

This concentrate contains 0.3% Copper Tripeptide-1 active in an oil-soluble liquid format. It is intended to make GHK-Cu easier to incorporate into oil-rich products while keeping the claim language in the cosmetic appearance-support range.

Product Description: GHK-Cu has been studied in skin biology for extracellular-matrix support, collagen/elastin-related endpoints, glycosaminoglycan modulation, matrix metalloproteinase balance, and visible wrinkle/texture parameters. Much of the mechanistic work is preclinical or ingredient-family evidence, while human cosmetic data are more limited and formula-dependent. Public product claims should therefore focus on visible smoothing, firmness, post-acne mark appearance, comfort, and scalp-care support rather than medical wound healing or tissue regeneration.

Evidence / formulation context Relevant endpoints Practical implication
GHK-Cu matrix biology Collagen, elastin, glycosaminoglycan, MMP/TIMP, and fibroblast-related endpoints reported in ingredient-family studies Supports anti-aging, firmness, texture, and post-acne appearance use
Topical cosmetic practice Visible wrinkle, roughness, firmness, comfort, and scalp-care concepts; evidence varies by formula and study design Use cosmetic appearance claims and avoid drug-style healing language
Oil-soluble format Oil-phase handling, anhydrous compatibility, balm/stick use, and easier use in oil-serums Preferred when water-soluble GHK-Cu solutions are not suitable for the product base

Usage: Suitable for anti-aging creams, lotions, facial oil, oil-serum, balm, post-acne appearance care, barrier-comfort products, scalp serum, and hair-root support formulas.

Mixing method:

- Add into the oil phase or post-emulsification oil phase during cool-down.

- Avoid heating above 40°C; protect from strong light and prolonged air exposure.

- Avoid strong chelators such as EDTA/disodium EDTA, high-electrolyte destabilizing systems, strong oxidants, and very acidic/alkaline formulas because they can disturb the copper-peptide complex.

- Recommended finished-formula pH for emulsion systems: approximately pH 4.5-7.0.

Usage rate: 1-5% of this 0.3% concentrate (delivers approximately 0.003-0.015% Copper Tripeptide-1 active). Typical: 3% concentrate delivers approximately 0.009% active.

Product characteristics: Blue to blue-green clear or slightly hazy oil-soluble liquid.

Solubility: Oil-soluble / oil-dispersible. Designed for oil phase, anhydrous, balm, stick, oil-serum, and emulsion systems where an oil-compatible copper peptide format is preferred.

Storage: Store refrigerated at 1-10°C, sealed, and protected from light. Bring to room temperature before weighing if viscosity increases during cold storage.
