PepOil™ Acetyl Tetrapeptide-5 (5000ppm)
Oil-soluble 5000ppm Acetyl Tetrapeptide-5 concentrate for eye-area oils, oil gels and emulsion systems targeting under-eye puffiness and eye-bag appearance.
PepOil™ Acetyl Tetrapeptide-5 is an oil-compatible liquid concentrate of Acetyl Tetrapeptide-5 for eye-area formulas, especially under-eye puffiness, visible eye bags, dark-circle support concepts and fine-line care.
Acetyl Tetrapeptide-5 is a short cosmetic peptide commonly associated with anti-edema, anti-glycation and periorbital decongesting concepts. The strongest human-use data available publicly is limited and mostly supplier-originated, but the peptide is widely used in eye contour creams and serums where formulators want a targeted peptide for fluid-retention appearance around the lower eyelid.
This product is supplied as an oil-soluble 5000ppm active concentrate. The oil-compatible format lets formulators place the peptide into anhydrous oil gels, facial oils, balm-serums and oil phases where a conventional water-soluble peptide solution is not suitable.
Product Description: Use this ingredient when an eye product needs a peptide positioned for lower-eyelid puffiness and early aging support but the formula architecture is oil based or low-water. The delivered-active target is the important design point: because this product contains 5000ppm Acetyl Tetrapeptide-5, a 2–10% ingredient level delivers approximately 100–500ppm active peptide in the finished formula. A typical 5% use level delivers approximately 250ppm active peptide.
| Formulation target | Practical use | Technical note |
|---|---|---|
| Eye contour oils / balm-serums | Add during cool-down or final oil-phase blending | Avoid high heat and strong shear after peptide addition |
| Oil gels and clear oil gels | Blend into the oil gel base below 40°C | Check final clarity and viscosity because peptide concentrate can change polarity balance |
| W/O or emulsion eye creams | Post-add into the oil phase or finished emulsion at low temperature | Finished formula pH around 4–7.5 is preferred for peptide-friendly systems |
| Lip balm / lipstick | Pre-blend into the oil phase before wax structuring; add below 40°C when possible | Check clarity, payoff, glide and stability in the final stick or balm base |
Usage: Eye creams, under-eye serums, facial oils, oil gels, balm-serums and W/O or emulsion systems designed for puffiness, visible eye-bag and anti-aging positioning.
Mixing method:
- Add during the final oil phase or cool-down stage. Keep product temperature below 40°C after addition.
- For oil gels or balm-serums, pre-blend into the liquid oil portion before adding delicate fragrance or heat-sensitive actives.
- Avoid strong oxidizing/reducing systems, high pH, prolonged heating and repeated freeze-thaw exposure. Run compatibility and stability checks in the final package.
Usage rate: 2–10% of this 5000ppm concentrate (delivers approximately 100–500ppm active Acetyl Tetrapeptide-5). Typical: 5% → approximately 250ppm active.
Product characteristics: Clear to yellow liquid concentrate.
Solubility: Clearly dissolves in polar cosmetic oils and polar esters. For non-polar oils, pre-blend with a small amount of Oil Blender™ (Polyglyceryl-3 Diisostearate) until the concentrate becomes clear, then add to the oil phase. Not intended for direct addition to a purely aqueous phase.
Storage: keep tightly closed, protected from light and heat. Store cool when possible.
