Product Description: Used as a depolarizer in dry-cell batteries, particularly in zinc-carbon and alkaline batteries, to prevent hydrogen buildup and maintain efficient electron flow. Commonly employed in the production of ferrites for electronic components like inductors and transformers due to its magnetic properties. Acts as a catalyst in chemical synthesis, including the oxidation of allylic alcohols and decomposition of hydrogen peroxide. Utilized in the glass and ceramic industries to color or decolorize glass and to produce black or brown glazes. Applied in water treatment processes to remove iron and hydrogen sulfide from well water through filtration systems. Used in the preparation of lithium manganese oxide for lithium-ion battery cathodes. Serves as an oxidizing agent in organic chemistry and in the manufacture of other manganese compounds.
