Baobab oil is a very special and valuable oil. What makes this oil unique is that it is extracted from the seeds of the fruit of the gobab tree grown in Africa.
The main nutrient components in baobab oil are fatty acids (omega 3, 6 and 9), vitamin E, calcium, alpha and beta-carotene, uric acid, tannins, and phytosterols.
Composition of fatty acids found in baobab oil:
Oleic acid (omega 9) : 30-42%
Linoleic acid (omega 6): 12-35%
Linolenic acid (omega 3): 0.2-2.0%
Palmitic acid: 18-46%
Stearic acid: 1.5-6.0%
