Syntran 5190CG

Film‑forming acrylates copolymer emulsion for color cosmetics; boosts durability/transfer and water resistance. Typical use 5–70%.

Syntran 5190CG is a film‑forming acrylates copolymer emulsion engineered for color cosmetic systems where durability, transfer resistance and water resistance are required.

Using a proprietary polymerization with selected functional groups by Zschimmer & Schwarz Interpolymer, the polymer network improves adhesion and cohesion on keratinous surfaces, enhances pigment binding/dispersion, and contributes gloss and flexible wear.

It is used globally across mascaras, eyeliners, eye shadows and foundation emulsions/solutions. Typical use levels range broadly from 5–70% depending on system and target film properties.

Typical property Value
INCI name Acrylates Copolymer
Physical form White emulsion
Solids content 41%
pH (22°C) 7.5
Brookfield viscosity ~90 mPa·s
Ionic nature Anionic
Freeze‑thaw Protect from freezing

Product Description: A film‑forming polymer that builds cohesive, flexible films to anchor pigments and improve transfer/water resistance. The anionic latex structure aids dispersion and contributes gloss while maintaining comfortable wear.

Usage: Color cosmetic emulsions or solutions such as mascaras, eyeliners, eye shadows and foundations.

Mixing method:

- Add to the aqueous/emulsion phase with moderate shear. Avoid freezing; protect from electrolytes that can destabilize latex systems.

- For emulsions, post‑adjust pH near neutral as needed; typical working pH windows are system‑dependent.

- Verify compatibility with pigments/surfactants; allow full film formation during drying.

Usage rate: 5–70%

Product characteristics: White emulsion (anionic latex)

Solubility: Aqueous emulsion; dispersible in water
