Bis-PEG-12 Dimethicone is a versatile silicone-based polymer that combines the smoothing properties of dimethicone with the water-compatibility of polyethylene glycol (PEG-12), creating a unique hybrid ingredient for cosmetic formulations.

This specialized silicone emulsifier provides exceptional sensory benefits, delivering a silky, non-greasy feel while enhancing spreadability and product texture. The PEG-12 modification allows this typically hydrophobic silicone to become semi-hydrophilic, enabling compatibility with both water and oil phases in formulations.

Unlike traditional dimethicone, Bis-PEG-12 Dimethicone offers reduced occlusivity and improved wash-off properties, making it ideal for lightweight formulations. Its unique structure enables it to function as both a conditioning agent and a mild emulsifier, particularly effective in high-alcohol formulations

Usage: Suitable for moisturizers, serums, hair conditioners, styling products, makeup primers, sunscreens, and alcohol-based foaming products. Particularly effective in leave-on treatments and color cosmetics.

How to mix:

- Add to the oil phase or silicone phase of formulation at temperatures below 60°C

- Can be directly dispersed in water with gentle stirring

- For alcohol-based products, pre-dissolve in alcohol before adding water phase

- Ensure thorough mixing for even distribution throughout the formula

Usage rate: 0.5-5.0%
