Usage: Suitable for facial serums, hydrating creams, lotions, barrier-care products, scalp serums, hair treatments, shampoos, facial cleansers, personal cleansers and oil-based or high-polyol systems that need improved feel.
Mixing method:
- Add during cool-down or final adjustment when possible. Keep processing below 45°C unless the full formula has been stability-tested at higher temperature.
- For water-soluble actives, pre-mix with the water/glycol portion before final addition. For hair and cleansing systems, add after the main surfactant blend is uniform and mix gently to avoid excess foam.
- For oily systems or tacky humectant systems, pre-blend with the polyol/oil portion, then add to the emulsion or serum base and check clarity, viscosity and odor after 24-48 hours.
- Verify compatibility with electrolytes, polymers, high surfactant loading, fragrance, colorants and final packaging by stability testing.
Usage rate: 0.5-5% of the finished formula. Typical starting point: 1-2%. Use the lower end for sensory adjustment and the higher end only when active-delivery or cleansing-performance testing supports it.
