Product Description:
Azoxystrobin is widely used as a fungicide in agriculture to protect crops from a broad spectrum of fungal diseases. It is effective against pathogens that cause leaf spots, blights, rusts, powdery mildews, and fruit rots. Commonly applied to crops such as grapes, cereals, potatoes, and vegetables, it works by inhibiting mitochondrial respiration in fungi, preventing energy production and ultimately leading to pathogen death.
Its systemic and translaminar properties allow it to move within the plant, offering both protective and curative action. Azoxystrobin is often included in integrated pest management (IPM) programs due to its efficacy at low application rates and favorable environmental profile. It is also used in seed treatments to prevent soil-borne diseases during early plant development. Due to the risk of resistance development, it is recommended to rotate or mix with fungicides having different modes of action.
