Product Description:
Used to treat urinary tract infections due to its broad-spectrum antibacterial activity. It is effective against both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, including multidrug-resistant strains such as ESBL-producing E. coli and Enterococcus faecalis. Due to its unique mechanism of action—inhibiting early cell wall synthesis—it shows low cross-resistance with other antibiotics. Commonly administered as a single-dose oral therapy, it achieves high concentrations in urine, making it suitable for uncomplicated UTIs. Also used in patients with allergies to other antibiotics or when first-line treatments fail.
