Product Description:
Used as a urinary alkalizer to prevent kidney stones by increasing urine pH and citrate levels, which inhibits the formation of calcium oxalate and uric acid crystals. Commonly prescribed for patients with renal tubular acidosis or recurrent calcium stone disease. Also functions as a buffering agent in pharmaceutical formulations and as a food additive to regulate acidity in beverages and processed foods. Its potassium content makes it useful in potassium-replacement therapy for individuals with hypokalemia, especially when combined with low citrate excretion.
