Product Description:
Used in scintillation detectors for radiation measurement due to its high density and efficient light emission when exposed to ionizing radiation. Commonly found in medical imaging, nuclear power plants, and homeland security equipment for detecting gamma rays and X-rays. Also used in Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectrometers as a transparent window material because of its broad infrared transmission range. In research, it serves as a source of cesium ions in specialized chemical reactions and in the preparation of other cesium compounds.
