Femimax™ (Feminine Deodorizer) is a food-grade deodorant active produced by natural fermentation of Saccharomyces yeast, designed for long-lasting odor control in intimate and private areas for all genders.
Oral-sex safe (food grade, 100% natural)
The fermentation produces a spectrum of enzymes and metabolites that catalyze the conversion of low-molecular-weight odor molecules (amines, sulfur compounds, short-chain fatty acids) into heavier, non-volatile salt forms, reducing perceived odor rather than simply masking it with fragrance.
The system is water-based, vegetable-derived and biodegradable, with excellent compatibility in aqueous and surfactant systems. It is engineered for gentle use on mucosal and delicate skin and is suitable for products that may be exposed to oral contact (including oral sex) when formulated and used as directed within normal cosmetic safety assessments.
Product Description: Femimax™ is an enzyme-rich Saccharomyces fermentation filtrate that targets a broad spectrum of malodors in intimate areas (vulva, groin, perineum, perianal region) and related body zones (underarm, feet). By promoting oxidation, substitution, neutralization and association (hydrogen bonding, Van der Waals interactions) with odor-forming molecules, it decreases their volatility and receptor binding on skin and mucosal surfaces without blocking normal perspiration.
- Method of deodorization: enzymes naturally catalyze the conversion of odorous compounds into heavier, non-odorous salt forms, lowering vapor pressure and keeping malodor precursors in the aqueous phase.
- Enzyme groups involved include hydrolases, de-esterases, reductases and oxidases, providing coverage across fatty acid, ester, sulfur and nitrogen-based odor pathways.
- Odor control actions combine oxidation, reduction, neutralization, substitution and non-covalent binding (hydrogen bonding, Van der Waals forces) to moderate odor intensity over time.
Usage: Intimate and feminine hygiene products (washes, gels, creams, sprays), deodorant sprays and roll-ons, baby care creams and wipes, foot care products, household and pet odor-control sprays, liquid and bar soaps, cosmetic base odor neutralization, depilatory and post-epilation care.
Mixing method:
- Add in the aqueous or water/glycol phase during cool-down (<40°C) after any high-temperature processing.
- For surfactant-based washes and intimate cleansers, add after dilution and pH adjustment; mix gently until uniform and avoid excessive aeration.
- For sprays and leave-on gels/creams, dissolve directly into the water phase or a small amount of glycol, then combine with the bulk under gentle stirring. Avoid strong oxidizing agents or extreme pH (<4 or >7) that may denature the fermentation components.
Usage rate: 0.1–3% (typical 0.5–2%; best performance around 1.5% in intimate deodorant systems where incidental oral contact is possible).
Product characteristics: Clear to slightly opalescent, low-viscosity aqueous liquid; light color; mild fermentation odor that is easily covered by low fragrance levels.
Solubility: Freely soluble in water; miscible with common cosmetic glycols (e.g., glycerin, propylene glycol); readily dispersible in surfactant systems and water-rich emulsions.
Vegetable-derived, food-grade fermentation; biodegradable and non-persistent.
