Rabeprazole is widely used in the treatment of gastrointestinal disorders, particularly those related to excess stomach acid. It is commonly prescribed for conditions such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), where it helps to reduce acid reflux and heal esophageal damage. Additionally, it is effective in managing peptic ulcers, both gastric and duodenal, by decreasing acid production and promoting ulcer healing.
