Product Description:
Used as a sedative and anticonvulsant in veterinary medicine, particularly in dogs with epilepsy. It helps control seizure activity by increasing the seizure threshold in the brain.
Commonly used in oil and gas drilling fluids due to its high density and stability under high pressure and temperature. Sodium bromide-based brines are effective in maintaining wellbore stability and preventing formation collapse.
Serves as a source of bromide ions in chemical synthesis, especially in the preparation of other bromine-containing compounds. It is also used in some photographic processes and as a disinfectant in swimming pools and industrial water systems.
Employed in neuroscience research to study ion transport and membrane potential in nerve cells, taking advantage of its ability to replace chloride ions in experimental settings.
