Product Description:
Used as a fungicide in agriculture to control fungal diseases on crops such as grapes, potatoes, and fruits. Commonly applied in vineyards as part of Bordeaux mixture to prevent mildew and other fungal infections.
Employed in mining and metallurgy for the extraction of metals through electroplating and electrowinning processes. Serves as a source of copper ions in plating baths to coat surfaces with a thin layer of copper for improved conductivity and corrosion resistance.
Utilized in water treatment to control algae growth in reservoirs, ponds, and swimming pools. Effective in reducing unwanted aquatic vegetation when applied in controlled concentrations.
Applied in the preparation of catalysts and chemical reagents for industrial synthesis. Plays a role in organic reactions such as the Ullmann reaction and other copper-mediated coupling processes.
Used in educational and research laboratories for crystal growth experiments and as a reagent in qualitative inorganic analysis. Also employed in biochemical assays to detect proteins and enzymes.
In animal husbandry, added in small amounts to feed or mineral supplements to prevent copper deficiency in livestock, though dosage must be carefully controlled to avoid toxicity.
