Product Description:
Used as a mordant in textile dyeing to help fix dyes onto fabrics, especially with natural fibers like cotton and wool. It enhances color fastness and improves dye uptake. Also employed in the production of other lead compounds and in some specialized chemical synthesis processes. Historically used in cosmetics and hair dyes, though such uses are now limited due to toxicity concerns. Occasionally used in small amounts in certain industrial coatings and primers for its drying properties. Not suitable for food, pharmaceutical, or consumer applications because of lead's high toxicity.
