Product Description:
Used as a reducing agent in the production of pharmaceuticals and dyes, where it helps convert nitro groups to amino groups. Employed in leather tanning to improve fiber dispersion and reduce chrome consumption. Acts as a de-icing agent for roads and runways due to its ability to lower the freezing point of water without being as corrosive as chlorides. Utilized in textile processing as a buffering agent and in dyeing processes to control pH. Also serves as a source of formate ions in chemical synthesis and in some types of fuel cells.
