Product Description:
Used extensively in cloud seeding operations to induce rainfall. Silver iodide particles act as ice nuclei in clouds, promoting the formation of ice crystals that grow and fall as precipitation. It is effective in both winter orographic cloud seeding to enhance snowfall and in convective cloud seeding for rain enhancement. Due to its crystal structure similarity to ice, it performs efficiently at low temperatures. Also used in some photographic emulsions and in the preparation of other silver compounds. Limited use in topical antiseptics in veterinary medicine, though this application is rare today.
