Product Description:
Used as a source of fluoride ions in metal surface treatment processes, particularly in the electroplating of aluminum and magnesium alloys. It helps form uniform, adherent coatings by stabilizing the electrolyte and improving conductivity. Also employed in fluxes for brazing aluminum components, where it dissolves oxides and promotes wetting without excessive corrosion. In chemical synthesis, it acts as a mild fluorinating agent or catalyst in certain organic reactions. Additionally, found in some specialized soldering fluxes and in the production of boron trifluoride when heated.
