Product Description:
Used as a buffering agent in cleaning products to maintain stable pH levels. Commonly found in laundry detergents and automatic dishwasher detergents for its water-softening properties. Acts as a preservative in cosmetics and personal care products due to mild antimicrobial activity. Employed in the production of fiberglass and insulation materials as a fluxing agent to lower melting temperatures. Used in metallurgy for soldering and welding as a flux to prevent oxidation. Found in some insecticides, particularly for ant and cockroach control. Utilized in educational science experiments, such as making slime, due to its ability to cross-link polymer chains. Also used in the manufacture of ceramic glazes and enamels for its influence on thermal expansion and surface finish.
