description Product Description
Used primarily as a gas treating agent to remove acidic components like hydrogen sulfide (H₂S) and carbon dioxide (CO₂) from natural gas and refinery streams. Its selectivity for H₂S over CO₂ makes it valuable in natural gas processing where targeted removal of sulfur compounds is required. Also employed in the formulation of surfactants, emulsifiers, and corrosion inhibitors due to its amphoteric nature and ability to form stable complexes. Found in some personal care products as a pH adjuster and in industrial cleaners for its detergent properties. Additionally, serves as an intermediate in the synthesis of certain pharmaceuticals and agrochemicals.
