Orobol is used in biochemical and pharmacological research, particularly for studying its antioxidant effects and protection of cells from oxidative stress. It is investigated for anti-inflammatory potential and inhibition of growth in certain cancer cell lines, especially in in vitro models. Orobol is also considered a plant-derived bioactive compound with promise for developing therapeutics targeting chronic diseases, such as diabetes, cardiovascular conditions, and neurodegenerative disorders. However, its applications remain in the experimental research phase and are not yet widely implemented in clinical settings.
