description Product Description

Used as a crosslinker in silicone curing systems, especially in addition-cure silicones like RTV (room-temperature vulcanizing) rubbers. Its hydrosilylation reactivity allows it to form stable, flexible networks when reacted with vinyl-functional siloxanes in the presence of a platinum catalyst. Commonly found in soft lithography, mold making, and encapsulation due to its controlled cure and low shrinkage. Also used in coatings and release agents where surface smoothness and durability are important. Provides good thermal stability and water repellency in final products.
