It helps restore estrogen levels in postmenopausal women. Also prescribed to prevent osteoporosis in women at high risk of fractures when other treatments are not suitable. Sometimes used in the treatment of certain types of breast and prostate cancer to manage tumor growth. May be used to treat abnormal uterine bleeding due to hormonal imbalance. Commonly available as tablets or vaginal cream, and should be used under medical supervision to minimize risks such as blood clots or certain cancers.
