description Product Description

Used primarily in the treatment of osteoporosis, Paget's disease of bone, and bone metastases. Helps reduce bone resorption by inhibiting osteoclast activity. Commonly administered to cancer patients with bone involvement to prevent skeletal-related events such as fractures, spinal cord compression, or the need for radiation therapy. Also used in hypercalcemia of malignancy to lower elevated calcium levels in blood. Effective in increasing bone mineral density and reducing the risk of both vertebral and non-vertebral fractures in postmenopausal women. Administered intravenously, often in low-frequency dosing regimens such as once yearly for osteoporosis.
